The Met® is a vibrant, inclusive, progressive faith community whose mission is

bringing people closer to God and one another. We are an open, affirming congregation

welcoming all people, with a particular outreach to the LGBT community.

We provide uplifting worship through great music, relevant sermons, warm

A Note from Pastor Dan

Hi!  I’m happy you’re here.

Know that God loves you and celebrates you as a special and unique person. We also celebrate you and invite you to check us out further.

We are a joyful, diverse and welcoming community – growing together in love for each other and God as a VIP Church - Vibrant, Inclusive and Progressive. Our worship services reflect the many rich traditions from which we all come -  celebratory, radiant, and solemn, mixed with laughter and tears - creating a positive experience I hope you feel as our special guest.

I hope you will choose to visit us soon - whether you live in San Diego or are here on vacation! In the meantime, look around – maybe listen to a sermon or two. Or tune in to the weekly LiveStreaming of our Sunday 11 AM worship service.

Enjoy! Blessings!

Rev, Dan Koeshall

Visit Us!

We understand it takes courage to enter a new environment. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and welcome at The Met. We offer two identical Sunday worship celebrations at 9 & 11 AM, where the focus is the worship of God and nurturing of our spirituality. Dress is casual; families are always welcome.  A time of fellowship follows services to meet and share with others on their faith journey. You may find many aspects of our worship familiar: uplifting music, prayer, scripture, a relevant sermon message, and Holy Communion celebrated at all services.

MCC believes in the equality of all people, with both women and men participating in leading worship. Holy Communion, like our worship services, is open to everyone. An usher directs you to a Communion Server who dips a wafer in grape juice and offers it to you. The server will then offer a brief blessing. You may receive just a blessing by simply indicating that to the server. After receiving Communion, you may return to your seat and continue in worship. During the 11:00 worship, we provide professional ASL interpreation. Reserved seating for the deaf is provided in the front row on the right side of the sanctuary.
